Bicycles, Luggage and Dogs
Baby carriages, wheelchairs, a pair of skis or a sledge per person as well as lugagge and small pets in a container are free of charge.Your dog or bicycle can be transported within the possibilty of our vehicles. Depending on the ticket you use different regulations apply to the transportation of animals or large objets.
Users of single tickets and one-week tickets
If you have a single ticket or a one-week ticket, then your dog or bicycle requires a reduced fare single ticket for the same fare stage.
Users of one-day tickets
If you have a one-day ticket for one or 2 neighbouring tariff zones, then your dog or bicycle requires at ticket costing 1.30 € (reduced single trip fare stage 1). The ticket is valid until 04:00 a.m. of the day following validation.If you have a one-day ticket for the entire Oberelbe Transport Network (VVO) area, then your dog or bicycle requires a ticket costing 2.50 € (reduced single trip fare stage 2). The ticket is valid until 04:00 a.m. of the day following validation.
Users of season tickets1 (with the exeption of one-week tickets)
If you have a season ticket, then your dog or bicycle can be taken with you free of charge.______________________________

Monthly bicycle pass
There is also a monthly bicycle pass for the VVO region for those who take their bicycles along regularly at a fare of 14.00 € per bike. The pass is effective from first day of validity until the same calendar day of the following month. Is the last day of validity a non-existing day, then validity ends on the last day of the month.

The rules for taking bicycles along on trains are those rules which are laid down by Deutsche Bahn AG.
Please keep in mind the following basic rules
- Dogs must be kept on a short leash (except when these are being transported in a suitable dog transport box) and muzzled!
- The transportation of baby buggies and wheelchairs has priority over the transportation of bicycles. In cramped conditions, please be appreciative of this fact if you are directed to the next vehicle.
