Welcome to Dresden
Want to use public transport in the city of Dresden? You will need a valid tram or bus ticket for every journey.
As an asylum seeker, you are entitled to the Dresden-Pass, allowing you to buy tickets at a discount. To apply for a Dresden-Pass, go in person to Dresden city council, to the benefits section (Sachgebiet Sozialleistungen) of the social services department (Sozialamt).
Holders of the Dresden-Pass receive the following discounts
||Price for Dresden-Pass holders
|Monthly pass price level A1 (Dresden fare Zone)
|Subscriber’s monthly pass price level A1 (Dresden fare Zone)
|Subscriber’s monthly pass price level B (Dresden fare Zone + another fare Zone)
Prices valid from 1st August 2020
You can buy tickets with a Dresden-Pass discount here
|Hauptbahnhof / Wiener Platz
||Hauptbahnhof / Hauptbahnhof Nord
Please show your Dresden-Pass when buying the ticket. When travelling on our vehicles, you need to take both your valid ticket and your Dresden-Pass with you and show both to the inspector during a ticket inspection. Without a valid ticket, your journey is unpaid, and you will have to pay a penalty fare of at least 60 euros.
Please note that the first time you travel with your monthly pass, you need to stamp it once in one of the on-board orange machines. With 4-ticket passes, stamp each section once.
Have a good journey on our trams and buses!
