Want to use public transport in the city of Dresden? You will need a valid tram or bus ticket for every journey.
As an asylum seeker, you are entitled to the Dresden-Pass, allowing you to buy tickets at a discount. To apply for a Dresden-Pass, go in person to Dresden city council, to the Dresden Pass department at the Social Security Office (Sozialamt). To do so, first fill in the application forms you can find at the City of Dresden’s Bürgerbüros or at www.dresden.de/dresden-pass. You can then send the forms by post or by e-mail to dresden-pass@dresden.de or bring them in person to Junghansstraße 2.

Please note

Please show your Dresden-Pass when buying the ticket. When travelling on our vehicles, you need to take both your valid ticket and your Dresden-Pass with you and show both to the inspector during a ticket inspection. Without a valid ticket, your journey is unpaid, and you will have to pay a penalty fare of at least 60 euros.
Please note that the first time you travel with your monthly pass, you need to stamp it once in one of the on-board orange machines. With 4-ticket passes, stamp each section once.
