Single tickets

Single journey

A price level 1 single ticket entitles you to travel for up to one hour on all routes in the Dresden fare zone (or another fare zone in the Upper Elbe Transport Association). During that time you can change lines as often as you like and use the Dresden ferries (but not special forms of transport 11 ). On longer trips through the Upper Elbe Transport Association (VVO) area, select the price level for your single journey depending on the number of fare zones you enter (for example: 2 fare zones, maximum journey time of 1.5 hours = price level 2).

Price-conscious travellers can buy four single tickets in one at a discount. The 4-trip ticket can be used for price levels 1 – 4 and is ideal if you use the trams and buses infrequently.

Example: When travelling from Pirna to Dresden, you pass through two fare zones, so you stamp two of the four sections per person.

4-trip ticket for short journeys

In urban transport on trams and city bus lines, you can travel up to 4 stops from the stop at which you boarded. Short journey tickets do not entitle passengers to change lines or interrupt their journey. Posters at many stops show how far you can travel on with a short journey ticket. Short journey tickets are only sold at a normal fare and only as 4-trip tickets.
