Always have the right ticket with you

The photo shows a family standing in front of a ticket machine, buying a ticket.

Here, you will find an overview of ticket types used on DVB transport.

Prices valid from 1 November 2015

Single ticket

Single journey

A price level 1 single ticket entitles you to travel for up to one hour on all routes in the Dresden fare zone (or another fare zone). During that time you can change vehicles as often as you like and use the Dresden ferries. On longer trips through the Upper Elbe transport association (VVO) area, select the price level for your single journey depending on the number of fare zones you enter (for example: 2 fare zones, maximum journey time of 1.5 hours = price level 2).

Price level Validity Normal Concessions 1
Price level 1 1 fare zone, at most 1 hour €2.30 €1.60
Price level 2 2 fare zones, at most 1.5 hours €4.10 €2.90
Price level 3 3 fare zones, at most 2 hours €6.20 €4.30
Price level 4
Entire network, at most 4 hours €8.20 €5.70

4-trip ticket

Price-conscious travellers can buy four single tickets in one at a discount. For short trips (distances up to two kilometres, or up to the fourth stop after entering city trams and buses) it is worth buying a 4-trip ticket for short journeys. This ticket can be used across different fare zones, but passengers may not change vehicle.

Price level       Validity Normal Concessions 1
Short trip No further than the fourth stop after entering city vehicles; no changing vehicles €5.50

Price level 1–4
Depends on number stamped €8.20 €5.20

Fare tip: If you are planning to make more than two trips on one day within a fare zone, it is worth buying a one-day ticket. It not only makes your journey cheaper; what is more, you can avoid any stress and spontaneously take additional trips on the day.

Bicycles and dogs may be transported on our vehicles where convenient. Different conveyance regulations for animals and objects apply depending on the ticket or pass you are using.

Users of these passes may carry one bicycle or one dog on board free of charge within the validity limits of the pass.
